What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) is a client-centered health profession, that involves working with people to enable participation in meaningful activities. These activities can include taking care of yourself or others, completing personal care tasks, domestic duties, driving, working, completing hobbies, and accessing the community. Assessments may be conducted to gain an understanding of how these activities are completed and identify any limitations, in line with goals, to provide education, advice, and support.
Occupational Therapists may prescribe assistive devices and home modifications to ensure people are able to do the things they want and need to do, safely.
